Live illustration, also known as live sketching, uniquely captures your event and guests while providing entertainment and memorable keepsakes.
Live Illustration is great for a variety of events including weddings, corporate events, grand openings, birthday parties, and much more.



How It Works
Brittney can be booked for an event for up to 6 hours, with a 2-hour minimum. Depending on your event, and preferences, they offer 2 live illustration options: sketches that document the event as a whole or individual sketches of guests.

With this option, Brittney will sketch the event as a whole including the venue and the guests as the event is taking place. They will float around the event to capture it from the best angles, document different parts of the events, and capture as many guests as possible. A common size for these illustrations is 8.5 x 11 and takes 10-30 minutes with color (3-4 Full illustrations in two hours) These illustrations are taken back to the studio at the end of the event to be scanned, the originals and high-quality scans are sent to Client 5-10 days after the event.

This option focuses more on capturing the guests at the events, similar to caricatures, and is best for events that want the illustrations as keepsakes for the guests, such as weddings or birthday parties. Brittney can either float around the event and draw the guests unknowingly, and surprise them with the illustrations, or have a designated area where guests can pose for an illustration. Individual guess portraits take 5-7 minutes and are smaller sketches running from 4x6 to 5.5 x 8.5 inches.
Booking and Pricing

Brittney charges an hourly rate starting at $85 an hour, with a 2-hour minimum and a 6-hour maximum a day.

Depending on availability, Brittney can be booked for events anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months in advance. It is recommended to reach out as soon as possible as your date will not be reserved for you until a deposit has been paid.

A logo, date, or other personalization can be pre-printed onto their paper for the event for an additional fee.

All materials are provided. Sketches are completed on 65 lbs - 110 lbs cardstock using ink and water-colorable wax pastels. Sketches are put in protective plastic sleeves.

Brittney is based in North New Jersey but will travel to events. Depending on location, additional fees may apply including but not limited to lodging, airfare, and ground transportation.

Brittney will arrive 30 minutes before the event starts to either set up their designated area for Guest Illustrations or to scope out the venue for Event documentation sketches.
For Guest Illustration please provide a sturdy small table and chair for Brittney to set up as for Individual Guest illustration.
Brittney will provide a sign for the table to communicate to quest their services at the event.
For Event Documentation Illustration, please provide Brittney with a secure location to leave their belongings, as they float around the event drawing.

Brittney’s style is a mix of cartoon doodles with realistic portraits.
My default sizes are 8.5 x 11” and 5 x 7”. Larger and more time-consuming sketches can be done at the event at an additional charge, but only one or two would be able to be completed.
To increase sketching out put at events, Brittney can work in black and white to cut down on time for individual sketches.

The amount of people I can sketch per event may vary. That being said, I work at a very consistent rate and always make sure to accomplish an adequate number of sketches within the time frame provided.
To maximize sketch time, I limit 1-2 guests per sketch.
All subjects must be present at the event, I do not sketch from photos.
All guest sketches are normally produced and delivered on-site. However, if you have a bigger guest count and want to ensure that everyone who wants a sketch receives one, you can pay for any additional sketches that are not produced onsite, which will then be delivered.
